Waianae man, 69, in critical condition after his vehicle slams into parked car

Honolulu police say a 69-year-old Waianae man is in vital situation after the automobile he was driving slammed right into a parked automobile on a non-public drive off of Hakimo Road Sunday evening.

Police mentioned the incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The man for unknown causes accelerated as he was turning onto the drive and struck a parked, unoccupied car. Police mentioned he could have been affected by a medical situation.

He was transported to a hospital in vital situation.

He was the only occupant of the car and was not sporting a seat belt, police mentioned.
