India’s legacy of non-alignment – Asia Times

Post-colonial Indian diplomacy has principally pursued neutrality as coverage. Since the Korean War to the present Russia-Ukraine battle, India has averted siding with any celebration. 

From V Okay Krishna Menon in Jawaharlal Nehru’s authorities to T S Tirumurti within the present regime of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, most of India’s everlasting  representatives to the United Nations have, in several battle conditions, made cautious statements to spotlight India’s non-aligned stand.

Condemning aggression by any nation, India has on a number of events kept away from voting on the UN Security Council (UNSC) or the General Assembly (UNGA), choosing a risk-free method.
