BOISE, Idaho — Idaho Governor Brad Little and 25 different governors from throughout the state have partnered as much as fight prison organizations benefiting from the open border with Mexico.

The multi-state partnership is named the “American Governors’ Border Strike Force.” It consists of governors from Arizona, Texas, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North and South Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

The objective of the strike drive is to extend collaboration, enhance intelligence, and put money into evaluation to fight human smuggling and cease drug circulate into taking part states.

“Meth and fentanyl are the most serious and growing drug threats in Idaho, and there is a direct tie to the loose border with Mexico. Border security is interconnected with the health and safety of American citizens. The Biden Administration has refused to address the crisis at the border, so once again America’s governors are stepping up,” Governor Little mentioned.

The strike drive was shaped in mild of President Joe Biden’s border insurance policies, which provides unauthorized immigrants a pathway to authorized standing and lifts COVID-19 restrictions for these coming into the U.S. from the southern border.
