A brand-new special player item will be coming to FIFA 22 Ultimate Team this week, with the promo based on Adidas athletes receiving constant upgrades throughout FUT 22.
There’s a brand new promo coming to FIFA 22 Ultimate Team this week, named Numbersup, which will celebrate Adidas athletes.
In a Twitch stream from EA Sports FIFA back in October, EA themselves confirmed that a brand-new promo based on Adidas Athletes was to be released on FIFA 22 Ultimate Team in November. And now, thanks to a brand new FUT 22 loading screen, EA has confirmed the start date for the FIFA 22 Adidas Numbersup promo.
The promo is the first of its kind to be released in FIFA Ultimate Team, with selected Adidas athletes set to be given live stat boosts throughout the season until their chosen stat reaches 99 out of 99.
Only one player has been confirmed for the promo so far, and with the event set to be a full FIFA 22 promo, we could be expecting another 21 players at least on its release.
There hasn’t been much revealed just yet about the upcoming event, but here’s everything we know so far including confirmed players, expected players, predicted players, the release date and more.
FIFA 22 Adidas Numbersup promo release date
A brand new FUT 22 loading screen has confirmed the start date of the FIFA 22 Adidas Numbersup promo, with the promo confirmed to start on Friday, November 12 at 18:00 GMT.
It’s unclear if this event will feature one of two teams, but what we can expect is some new Objectives and Squad Building Challenges to arrive along with it.
FIFA 22 Adidas Numbersup promo c onfirmed players
So far, only one player has been confirmed for the upcoming event – Borussia Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna.

The stream revealed that Reyna could have 99 pace, making that the stat which can increase for him over the course of the season.
FIFA 22 Adidas Numbersup promo predictions
In a tweet from FIFA content creator @leandesign_, the Twitter page uploaded a photo from the Adidas website which included Adidas’ latest range of football boots – Adidas X Speedflow, Adidas Predator Freak, and Adidas Copa Sense.
Behind the image of each boot was a list of names and an updated FIFA stat. The Speedflow was 99 pace, the Predator Freak had 99 dribbling, and the Copa Sense had 99 passing.
From this image, we expect the players listed in the image to be included in the promotion.
- Joao Felix (99 pace)
- Son Heung-Min (99 pace)
- Dele Alli (99 dribbling)
- Jude Bellingham (99 passing)
Each player will have to be an Adidas athlete due to EA’s partnership with the company, and these are the players we predict to be in the promo.
How do the upgrades work?
Much like the rest of this promo, there is still very little information that has been released, including how the upgrades to each card will work.
All we know is that over the course of FIFA 22, each player’s designated stat will increase until it reaches 99 rated – hence ‘Don’t Stop Till You’re 99’.
The players will receive a boost on their November release, but how the upgrades work is currently unknown. Will each player receive boosts to other stats along with their 99 stat? is it based on real-life performances?
We just don’t know yet, but be sure to regularly check back with us over the next few weeks for any updates on the promo.
FIFA 22 will be the latest game within EA’s popular FIFA video game franchise, which released worldwide on Friday, October 1, 2021. The game is available now on all platforms including Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia and PC.
