Dublin takeaways: 7 best restaurants to order from this weekend

What are your taste buds craving this weekend? Sometimes it can be a tough decision to make.

Do we stick with what we know or do we branch out? To help alleviate some of that hunger-induced panic, we’ve come up with a list of takeaways that we think will satisfy anyone in the city who knows good food.

From Middle Eastern fare to classic American style burgers, we think you’re guaranteed to find something you’ll like on this list.

Falafel

It’s hard to find a cuisine that is bursting with as much flavour and colour as Middle Eastern.

There are plenty of great restaurants offering this kind of food, but one of the most popular in the city is Falafel in Temple Bar, which is available to order on Deliveroo.

Our suggestion would be the Palestinian Wrap with a side of Patata Harra.

The Back Page

A favourite for Phibsboro locals, The Back Page does takeaway food as well as pints and cocktails, helping those in the area create that night out experience at home.

In terms of food, expect handmade pizzas named after Irish heroes like Sonia O’Sullivan and tasty sides like garlic bread and bruschetta.

It’s available to order on Just Eat and Deliveroo.

Saba

With its takeaway restaurants on Baggot Street, South William Street and in Kildare Village, Saba is an award winning Thai and Vietnamese takeaway that Dubs simply adore.

In fact, Saba To Go was named best takeaway in Ireland at the 2020 Just Eat National Takeaway Awards, so you know you’re in safe hands when ordering from here.

It is available on Deliveroo and Just Eat.

Mr Burrito

Mr Burrito has been delighting the people of Drumcondra and beyond since it opened in 2017.

Serving burritos, fajitas, nachos and other delicious Mexican grub, you’re belly will be full and your wallet won’t have too big of a dent in it with everything reasonably priced.

Mr Burrito is available to order through their website.

Half and Half

Half and Half in Coolmine, Dublin 15 sells some of the most indulgent burgers and dishes in the city, dripping in tasty sauces and loaded with flavour-packed toppings.

They also sell bundles for groups with as many as 10 burgers included.

Diwali

If you’re in the market for an Indian takeaway this weekend, Diwali on George’s Street is a great shout.

The restaurant’s takeaway menu consists of all of the favourites plus opportunities to try authentic Indian dishes you might have never even heard of before.

Diwali is available to order here.

Mint Cottage

Moving onto Pakistani cuisine now, we have Mint Cottage in Raheny.

The restaurant, which is also a popular spot for ambient indoor dining, has stellar reviews online with people praising the range of curries on the menu.
