Firefighters from Dolphins Barn were called out to extinguish a skip fire this evening.
Although smoke did drift, the fire was prevented from spreading and there was no damage to property as the skip had been placed away from nearby buildings.
The incident was recounted on the Dublin Fire Brigade’s official Twitter account @DubFireBrigade in an 11.08pm post that was accompanied by four photographs taken from the scene.
It read: “Firefighters from Dolphins Barn fire station extinguishing a skip fire tonight. The skip had been placed away from nearby buildings. Although smoke did drift, the fire was prevented from spreading. Always keep skips away from property in case of a fire.”
