Dance 4 Homelessness: 2000s legend Mr C among DJs taking part in club night to raise money for Dublin homeless

A particular membership evening which will likely be DJed by quite a few 2000s legends is about to lift 1000’s for homeless folks in Dublin.

This Friday, March 25 sees The Button Factory in Temple Bar play host to Dance 4 Homelessness, a particular membership evening which goals to lift funds for the Peter McVerry Trust.

House and dance followers are in for a deal with because the line-up, unfold out over two rooms, contains The Shamen entrance man Mr C in addition to Mr Spring, Mark Kavanagh, Francois, Dean Sherry and Irish OldSkool Collectives.

Organiser Dean Sherry revealed that the occasion has been two years within the making, having been postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Amazing lineup of legends all under one roof and more importantly 1 amazing homegrown cause with all proceeds going to @pmvtrust to help improve the lives on our own streets & families impacted by homelessness,” he wrote on social media.

In a video message in regards to the upcoming membership evening, Mr C mentioned of the occasion: “I’m really excited to be coming to Dublin at last.

“It’s a tremendous line-up. It’s completely stacked and it should be sensible. And it is a unbelievable trigger serving to the folks on the streets of Dublin, which is a trigger that is very expensive to my coronary heart.”

“We’re going to have a of enjoyable,” he added.

According to organisers, 9,000 people in Ireland are currently experiencing homelessness.

Phever has previously raised over €15,000 for mental health charities with its special fundraising events.

Tickets for Dance 4 Homelessness this Friday, March 25 at The Button Factory are on sale now for between €22.20 and €27.55 via Eventbrite.
