Sunny, summer weather is in the forecast for the next several days, and the timing couldn’t be better. As thousands of athletes arrive in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene for Hoopfest and Ironman, perfect weather will showcase the very best of the Inland Northwest. For Friday, expect mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the lower 70s. There is a chance of some mountain showers and isolated thunderstorms over North Idaho. That’s something to keep in mind if you’re looking to escape the weekend crowds at area campgrounds.
Temperatures will warm into the lower 80s with sunshine for Saturday and mid-80s Sunday! Hydrate and keep the sunblock on thick! The warmest weather, however, will hold off until the start of the work week. The warming trend peaks on Monday with highs in the 90° range. Cooler, potentially unsettled weather will follow with the chance of mountain showers and thunderstorms.
