Arsenal will reportedly discuss William Saliba’s long-term future with Marseille, while Gunners players Nicolas Pepe and Mohamed Elneny are also on the agenda in north London
Arsenal are sitting pretty in the November international break thanks to a 10-game unbeaten streak under Mikel Arteta.
After their chaotic start to the season, the Gunners have struck form, with their new players bedding nicely into Arteta’s side to help them move up to fifth place in the Premier League.
Arsenal shelled out around £150million in the summer transfer window to bolster Arteta’s squad, but their work in the transfer market might not be done for the 2021/22 season.
With the January transfer window edging closer, the Gunners are rumoured to be looking at further players, with some also potentially on the chopping block.

One of the pieces of business on the agenda in north London involves a player who is yet to even play for Arsenal.
Despite his distance from the first team, William Saliba has been a hot topic recently, with the 20-year-old defender performing brilliantly for Marseille.
Saliba is on a season-long loan with the French side, but Marseille are keen to make the move permanent, according to transfer journalist Ekrem Konur.
Arsenal are reportedly set to hold talks with Marseille over Saliba, who they signed for £27m from Saint-Etienne back in 2019.
Saliba has missed just one game for Marseille so far this season, helping them keep six clean sheets in their 13 Ligue 1 games and climb to fourth in the table.
Gunners propose Pepe swap

As we reported yesterday, Arsenal are willing to offload their record signing Nicolas Pepe for just £25m.
Pepe cost £72m from Lille in August 2019 but has made a slow start to the season, leaving the Gunners willing to cut their losses.
Juve are keen to sell the 21-year-old attacker, Aaron Ramsey and Weston McKennie to raise funds, but are reportedly not keen on a swap.
Instead the Italian club want a straight payment of around £25m to £30m (€30-35m) to sell the Swedish international in the January transfer window.
Kulusevski is under contract until June 2025, but has just eight goals and eight assists in 62 appearances for Juve since joining from Atalanta in June 2020.

Elneny gives green light

Mohamed Elneny could be on the move in January, with Galatasaray eyeing up a cut-price move for the Egypt international.
Elneny has played just four times for Arsenal this season in all competitions and is out of contract at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old midfielder has fallen down the pecking order and could be let go in the mid-season window, despite the injury to Granit Xhaka limiting Arteta’s options.
He spent last season on loan with Besiktas, but it is Istanbul rivals Galatasaray who lead the race, as per Turkish outlet Fanatik.
Galatasaray are reportedly ‘at the signing stage’ after Elneny himself gave the ‘green light’ to the move.
