As the international break commences, transfer talk ahead of the looming January window is hotting up.

All of the big clubs across Europe are being linked to countless names, and Arsenal are no exception.

The Gunners may be enjoying success on the pitch at present but will know the key to maintaining their upward trajectory under manager Mikel Arteta lies in the recruitment department.

But incomings are not the only topic on people’s lips in north London, as plenty of outgoings have been touted to occur in 2022 – including striker Alexandre Lacazette.

With his contract expiring in just seven months’ time and little talk of a new deal, Arsenal looks set to lose Lacazette sooner or later.

Despite the Frenchman’s solid form, the Gunners could be convinced to sell the striker in January in order to recoup a fee for the former Lyon hitman.

The club paid £46.5million for Lacazette in 2017 and Arteta may have to deal without having him at his disposal in the second half of the season if the hierarchy receive an offer worth his valuation.

According to a report from El Nacional, via the Hard Tackle, €10million (£8.5m) would be enough for Arsenal to sell the 30-year-old, with Barcelona interested.

Vlahovic blow

Due to Lacazette’s impending departure, the Gunners have been preparing to land a long-term replacement.

Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic is name fans will be familiar with, but Arsenal face serious competition for his signature.

Juventus are keen on capturing the Serbian, reports Calciomercato, with the 21-year-old ready to leave by the end of this season.

The Bianconeri have a good track record of plucking Serie A‘s best young talents from their rivals.

But interestingly, the Italian outlet add that Lacazette is on Juventus’ list of alternatives if they fail to convince Vlahovic, alongside Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.

£68million would reportedly be required to tempt Fiorentina into a sale, with the ex-Partizan Belgrade starlet boasting 10 goals in 13 games so far this term.

Zakaria interest reaffirmed

Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria continues to be linked with a move to the Emirates as Arteta looks to bolster his midfield options

German journalist Christian Falk is the latest to double down on the Gunners’ interest, telling SportBILD: “That is a clear true.

“There has been interest in the past. Zakaria is on the books of almost every top club in Italy, but he wants the Premier League.”

The Switzerland international is out of contract in June 2022 and looks certain to leave the Bundesliga.
